Wat ga je doen?
What will you be doing?
After an extensive training program about the company, technology, products and applications in which the instruments are being used, you will work with a diverse set of customers to support them with flow and pressure measurement and control solutions for their applications. Speed is important to Alicat. That counts for the instruments as well as for the customer support. You will have daily interactions with universities, research institutions, R&D-centers and (production) engineering departments active in a diverse set of fields and industries, such as aerospace, bioscience, chemical, food & beverage, hydrogen & coating.
An impression of a day at work:
- Check incoming e-mails from (potential) customers with questions, quote requests or orders to be entered into the system;
- Ask clarifying questions by e-mail, phone or in person to dig deeper into a customer’s application to determine the best solution;
- Connect with the engineering colleagues in Europe or the US to get information about more complex topics;
- Support customers with troubleshooting in the European lab or visit the customer to solve the problems on site;
- Support your distribution partners with questions, quoting and troubleshooting by e-mail, phone or by doing joint-customer visits;
- Having a meeting with marketing to help developing better campaigns;
- Doing a training session about a new product that will be launched;
- Going home knowing that you have made multiple customers happy.
Wat vragen wij?
Is this the right role for you?
The Application Engineers are key in Alicat’s ambition to be fast in supporting customers, above market standards. As an Application Engineer you work with customers to quickly understand their specific technical requirements, ensure that the proposed solution meet their needs and is supplied fast. However, applications engineering is more than science. It’s helping exceptional scientists, researchers and engineers all over Europe to progress with great technical customer support. An Application Engineer needs a curious mind with a passion for details and accelerating scientific and technological development.
